It's Alive!!! the blog returns

After many years of dabbling with other social media I have decided to go back to this blog. It seems a more civilised way of keeping track of my progress and people can dip in whenever they want.
so today is all about bringing the earth foundry back to life. I suspect a localised earthquake caused this wall to collapse. It is actually the gable wall of a pig sty. It dates from 1840 or so I guess from the dates of the surrounding buildings.
In those days everyone kept a pig to eat scraps and flatten up for the year. Then they would get ett!
after 6 or so of moving granite I built dry stone supporting walls. I carefully removed parts of the side walls and inserted long stones to tie it to the new part. Hopefully with the walls capped with slates they will stay standing!
