I know this is a really old post but if you don't need 10^-5 Torr you can also use Dow Corning Vacuum Grease (vapor pressure of 10^-4). It usually runs around $4/oz here: http://www.pascaltechnologies.com/product-details.cfm?part=DUGL150-DC
ReplyDeleteThats an interesting one. I'm a bit supprised that the listing doesn't say if its silicone based or not. That is the issue here. I'd like to keep silicone away from my chamber. Though the diff pump fluid...
